Old places

I always have this special feeling towards old stuffs, especially old places. Places that were once popular but were closed down due to several reasons. I couldn't explain this special feeling but I just felt that they contains a lot of memories of many people. And I always wished that I have the chance to grow up there, play there and enjoy there. I want to experience it because it is a different feeling from what we have now. Therefore, I've set this task for myself: To visit as many old places as I can before the government decides to demolish them and they will be gone forever.

Last week, after rotting at home for quite some time, I decided to bring my camera out for a stroll and headed out. My plan was to visit Tanjong Pagar Railway Station, followed by Woodlands Point & Woodlands Waterfront.

First stop: I alighted at Outram because according to gothere.sg, I would be able to get to the railway station from the bus stop opposite Pearl Center. I started to drizzle. Ck and I walked and after reaching one of the bus stop, I realized that we've walked the wrong direction. So when we finally reached the bus stop near the railway station, after Blair Road, we got lost again. But we managed to get to the railway station after 1 hour?

It's really nice to see an old building still standing strong, with people having lunch and some talking session going on at the canteen area, despite the fact that it will be gone in a few months time.

So we left the place and decided to lunch at Chinatown and homed because I am too lazy to go to Woodlands after that. HAHAHA.

A few weeks ago, I visited Queenstown again because it's been reported that they are going to demolish the old buildings and the cinema soon. The place was extremely quiet compared to the slightly liveliness feeling when I was there in August last year. It has gradually turned into a ghost town.

Also, the other I went to the railway track at Sunset Way. I was there helping out my friend's shoot and I remember I only slept for 5am that morning because I gambled at Louis' place till 4am and only then, that I remembered that there's shoot at 9am.

Oh, I paid a visit to the last kampong in Singapore too, last year for my photography assignment. It is a nice place but there's lots of mosquitoes out there to suck your blood.

I visited Haw Par Villa too and I really like the place. I remember my uncle brought my cousins and I there during CNY when we were younger. It used to be one of the hot spots for tourists but now. However, I believe that Haw Par Villa will be popular once again when the time is right.

So far, that's all I have. I will be back for more, wait for me. (:

Yesterday marked the end of the MYE exam 2009!

Xinying is very very happy! Yes, I am.

Finally all those last minute revisions are gone.

And then, I promised myself there will be no more last minute revision for me.

No more, so I have to start my revisions now!!

Went to catch a movie yesterday - The Uninvited, with Kala, Shelly & May.

Quite nice cause there's a twist towards the ending.

Hang around Harris for an hour and Popular for another hour before the movie start.

Then home sweet home after that! :D

JJ scolded me for not attending his Graduation.

But my mum was the one who didn't want to go first.

But he was so good and bought something like a Polaroid for me.

Well, it's actually share with me. Hahas.

Anyway, going to plan what I'm going to do today.

And going out tomorrow like finally!

Xinying! Jiayou!

A hectic week I would say.
From the start of this week, everything was so miserable and tired.

Had English Paper2 mock.
I just deliberately skimmed through the text according to the paragraphs related to the questions. And my answers were what-I-see-is-what-I-write that kind of thing. Best ah.

Had circle time on Tuesday and we feedback on alot of class issues.
We requested the classroom to be a more conducive place to study.
& not forgetting to comment on the noisy-ness in the class.
Oh, and I practically screwed up my Chemistry Class Test. :D

Wednesday was great! Because there's no Physic Practical!
We thought that Mr Lam was playing a April fool's joke with us initially.
But ended up there's really no practical! :D
Had Touch Rugby for the last time. Great & tired.
So from next PE lessons onwards, we have to do NAPFA training. ):

Today is not a day for school!
So many of us fell sick and everyone were so tired.
Had headache the whole morning and feeling much better towards the afternoon.
Why can't there be a Good Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday every month?
Like that we can get more rest.. & recharge our energy.

Going to clean the classroom tml!
Should be fun and looking forward to it.
Going to have a short weekend ahead.

I'm craving for Sambal seafood, though my mum cooked Sambal Sotong for dinner today.

Time flies, really.

It's Thursday now and Friday tomorrow.

Weekends coming too, but doubt I can spend them wisely.

Had CIP on Tuesday, helped out in teaching the Blue Cross people.

Had fun too, laughing madly.

And I remembered QieQie almost killed me for what I've said. :D

First time saw QieQie that fierce lohs! Scary.

Touch Rugby during PE lessons on Wednesday.

Almost all the girls in my group went 'YEEEEE' when we ran and accidentally stepped on the pool of water.

& nevertheless, don't need to say anything else lahs, our shoes are damn wet.

A few of them slipped and fell too.

nd during Geog lesson, I was too bored that I played Tetris in my phone. :D

Had Chemistry practical and wasn't in the mood in doing it.

I can't even get the first reaction and simply gave up.

Half Sister came to school and cleared his stuffs in ava resource.

I went tuition and lucky I reached there just in time, if not, sure caught in the suddenly downpour.

Met Kala at Popular & had waffle hotdog! :D

Today is Thursday.

Such a boring day. Not forgetting it's tired too.

I kept falling asleep in class. Super tired though I slept at 10.30pm last night.

I need more sleep. Seriously. & more time to study too.

There's meet the parent session, tuition and editing on Saturday, even Sunday is down.

I gave up. I knew that no matter what I did or said, will not please you, will not change the fact, will not make a difference. I am wondering what did I did wrongly, said wrongly that makes you treat me this way. Are you really happy with it right now? Happy with your life, your everything? Maybe you are, but I am not. But I chose to give in. I don't want to think about it anymore. It will just make me feel useless and make you feel great. Isn't it? You seemed to have the world supporting you but I'm afraid to say that not everyone thinks the same way as you do. I've moved on, without you and trying very hard to give up bit by bit as time goes on. This is the first time I felt so miserable. Are you proud of yourself now? (:

I went back to school every single day without fail.
Monday, I went back for Chinese mock exam.
Was slightly late but have not start when I reached, so it's okay.
& Thank you KALA, for waiting for me at the bus stop and were late together. :D

I went back to school on Tuesday.
It was the first lesson of MYOB, and I dreaded to go.
Damn boring on the first day.
Had to sit according to the seating plan and well, I was assigned to the very end of the row, sitting next to the wall, can't even see a single thing appearing on the screen. Tyvm. (:

For Wednesday & Thursday, the MYOB lesson were much more lively & fun!
All of us were ebuddy-ing, some watching videos like Kenn who sat beside me watching One Piece (-.-), some playing Mafia wars like Alvin who sat behind me, some playing Tetris like me, some viewing 'Ren Yao' friendster profile, & some Dota-ing. & eventually, on thursday, they were caught playing Dota and the scene (I don't know what other words I can use to describe it.) of them getting caught were real epic & funny! :D

I screwed up the MYOB exam on Friday.
Really screwed. I thought it ends at 12pm and by the time I finished doing, it was already 11.20am. I couldn't reconcile my account because I'm short of $135K (I know I'm pro.) and gave up eventually. Until 12pm, then I realised that the exam ends at 12.30pm. Tyvm once again. I wasted my time after finishing going around the room asking people what the hell is Income Account.
I went to tuition after that. Yes, I MIA-ed for a week before appearing again. :D

Had tuition this morning again and went to meet JJ, Qamariah, Zech, DX at JE.
Headed down to Expo for Adidas, Popular & Robinsons Sales.
Very contended with what I bought.
Something which I longed for, over the months.

Yes! I've bought it and am loving it right now!
First album I bought in my 16 going to 17 years in this world okay!
Just couldn't resist the temptation and bought it. :D

Tomorrow's plan:
1. Complete Physic West Spring Prelim Paper.
2. Complete Chemistry JVS MYE 2008(?) Prelim Paper.
3. Find articles for English Composition.
4. Complete storybook, 'Shame'.

That's all. Holidays were gone, just like that.
Not fair, ITE have got 3 weeks of holidays. We only have 1 week.
Well, nothing is fair in this world. :D

Been a busy busy week.

Everyday is all about homeworks.
So is this what graduating classes are going to face for the next 7months till O levels end?
Go to hell then. Yes, go to hell.

Initially, I changed my tuition to Thursday for this week but I skipped it because I went down to Suntec to meet JJ, Qamariah, Huimin & DX. They waited for me for hours, I'm very sorry! & they waited for me again because I haven had lunch.
Hahas, and throughout my lunch, JJ kept saying this to me "Eh, want buy TV anot? $599 for 32 inch. *points to flyers*"
Then he showed me another flyer and I said "This 42 inch one also $599?"
DX laughed. JJ said "Your dad's company ah? everything $599."
And that's when the $599 thing started, like this:

JJ: "Huimin, what you intend to buy?"
DX: "60GB thumbdrive for $599" *Everyone laughed*

DX: "Qamariah, what you intend to buy?"
ME: "1 TB Hard disk for $599."
JJ: "Crazy, I can get 4 of them leh."

So yes, went to IT Show 2009 on thursday and it's really torturing to carry my school bag there. My shoulders were very pain and I didn't even have seats in the train because adults just simply snatched them from me. Tyvm (:

Had Infocom Camp on Friday and we were all crazy.
Ordered Canadian Pizza for dinner & supper but aparently they were not enough.
Played facebook awhile and watched dramas and slept. We were like taking turns to sleep on the mattress and they even went to ordered Mac at 3am.

Woke up early to prepare for Adam Khoo's program.
Dreaded it at first but afterall, enjoyed myself alot.
Not only were the trainers funny and crazy, the messages behind it were interesting too.
There's this activity where Melvin one of our trainers asked us to do.
"I want.." He want us to declare to the whole class, what we want.
I thought for a damn long time, because I was the last.
& then I said: "I want to get into FSV next year." *I really dk what else to say.*

Then I asked myself, do I really want to get into FSV? What's so good about FSV that makes me feel like going there? Is that really my interests and passion? Will I really enjoy my 3 years there after my O levels (if I did well enough to get into it)? I am now seizing all the opportunities that are going to benefit me in getting into FSV. But am I really going to get in there? I can't find any other things that I am interestd in. I shall consider more before making this choice.

Anyway, the program was really interesting and motivating.
Goals are not only important, they tell you where you're heading to.
Feeling motivated is easy, but trying to achieve what you really want is really difficult and you have to be prepared to scarifice everything for it. So now I asked myself again, "Am I prepared for it?"

I was very tired after coming back from school yesterday.
Slept at 7.30pm and woke up at 9.30am this morning. Slept for 14 hours! Half day gone just like that. But well, quite energetic now, so still not bad. And I kept thinking that today is SATURDAY! Because I went to school yesterday and I thought today is Saturday. What the fuck am I thinking? There's chinese mock exam tomorrow! *runs to books and worksheets now*

Shall update more if I have time to sit infront of the computer to relax and listen to old love songs. :D Happy holidays to those who have 'Holidays'.
